Robot vacuum: the specs that actually matter
Product sheets line up impressive numbers, but they don't all weigh the same in real life. Here's what truly changes your day-to-day — and what's just marketing.
01
Navigation: LiDAR, non-negotiable
A robot that maps with LiDAR cleans in tidy lines, handles several floors and avoids passing the same spot ten times. Random-navigation models cost less but go in circles — literally. It's the first thing to look at.
02
The dock: what truly frees you
An auto-empty dock empties the robot's bin by itself for several weeks. That's what turns a robot vacuum from a gadget you empty every two days into a device you forget about. Docks that also wash and dry the mop go even further.
03
The Fleetiox verdict
Prioritise LiDAR navigation and the auto-empty dock over raw suction. A well-guided robot at 4000 Pa cleans better than a lost one at 7000 Pa.
